New Stock Coverage: CoreLogic (NYSE:CLGX) Makes Cents


Wall Street ratings agencies set the tone for today's stock market.

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL Superstitious sorts will no doubt be concerned, but in honor of Thirteen Week, the Dow (^DJI) duly gained 13.32 amid helpful housing data here at home and an unexpected economic stimulus in Japan. This is also Singles Week, of course, and Starbucks (SBUX) rose 1.75% after fully embracing its spirit. Porsche (POAHY) shares surged 7.00% and hours ago its CEO said next year's sales are expected to outperform. (And no wonder, at the rate Lindsay Lohan burns through its cars.)

On Wall Street, a flying mattress knocked an unfortunate man out, falling almost as fast as shares of Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) on Wall Street ahead of today's opening bell.

Today in economics, August Leading Indicators and the Philadelphia Fed Index for September are each out at 10:00 a.m. Eastern. In earnings action, CarMax (KMX), Cintas (CTAS), ConAgra (CAG), Jefferies Group (JEF), Marcus Corp. (MCS), Oracle (ORCL), Rite Aid (RAD), Scholastic (SCHL), and Tibco Software (TIBX) are all due to report results.

Aeterna Zentaris (AEZS): Shares are resumed with a Buy at Roth Capital, which issues a price objective of $1.75.

CoreLogic (NYSE:CLGX): The stock is assigned an Outperform at William Blair.

Elizabeth Arden (RDEN): The cosmetics company is an Above Average at Caris & Company, whose target price is $55. Its core brand is expected to grow 12% annually, driven by its re-positioning within the $56 billion global prestige beauty market.

Generac Holdings (GNRC): Shares get assigned an Outperform by BMO Capital, whose target is $28.

Palo Alto Networks (PANW): PANW is picked up with a Sector Perform at Pacific Crest.

Patterson Companies (PDCO): The stock gets begun with a Buy at WallachBeth, whose target is $40.

Patterson-UTI Energy (PTEN): Wunderlich has a Buy and $20 target on a firm it says is a way to play both the land drilling and pressure pumping businesses.

Steris (STE): STE is started with a Buy at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch.

Synergetics USA (SURG): The stock is initiated with an Overweight at Stephens, whose target is $7.

Tyco International (TYC): Barclays begins Overweight rated research on TYC.
