Stock Upgrades: Corrections Corp. About to Break Out


Wall Street ratings agencies set the tone for today's stock market.

Today in economics, May consumer credit comes out at 3:00 p.m. Eastern. On the corporate front, Alcoa (AA) unofficially ushers in what is expected to be no more than a mediocre Q2 earnings season when it releases results after the close.

Cabot Oil & Gas (COG): Shares of the top S&P 500 performer in 2011 are upgraded to Buy from Neutral at Goldman.

Coach (COH): COH is upgraded to Overweight from Neutral at Atlantic Equities.

Corrections Corp. (CXW): The prison operator is added to Top Pick list at SunTrust.

Demandware (DWRE): Shares are upgraded to Overweight from Equal Weight at First Analysis.

LyondellBasell (LYB): LYB is lifted to Outperform from Neutral at Macquarie.

Mueller Water (MWA): MWA is moved to Buy from Hold at Brean Murray, which has a $5.10 target price. Catalysts include positive housing end market data points in the United States recently.

Nanosphere (NSPH): Shares are surging 6.6% before the bell on a boost to Buy from Neutral at ROTH Capital.

Sirona Dental Systems (SIRO): The stock is upgraded to Outperform from Perform at Robert W. Baird.

Thompson Creek Metals (TC): TC gets taken to Buy from Hold at Deutsche Bank.

Weyerhaeuser (WY): Shares are now Buy from Neutral at Citigroup.
