Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia Among Most Active Stocks in NYSE Pre-Market


Bank of America was up this morning.

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the NYSE were Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE:ALU), Nokia (NYSE:NOK), and Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) as of 9:15 a.m. EST.

Investors exchanged 1.44 million shares of Alcatel-Lucent, which was up $0.19, or 19.00%. Alcatel-Lucent is seeking a loan from Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) to strengthen its balance sheet. The network equipment vendor has struggled with profitability.

Investors traded 1.14 million shares of Nokia, which was up $0.09, or 2.72%. According to Amazon's (NASDAQ:AMZN) latest smartphones sales report, Nokia's Lumia 920 smartphone has the most sales after Motorola's DRIOD RAZR MAXX HD 4G.

Investors also traded 918,360 shares of Bank of America, which was up $0.09, or 2.72%.
