Hewlett-Packard and SPDR S&P 500 ETF Among Most Active Stocks in NYSE Pre-Market

Prudential Financial was unchanged this morning.
MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the NYSE were Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ), SPDR S&P 500 ETF (NYSEARCA:SPY), and Prudential Financial (NYSE:PRU) as of 9:30 a.m. EST.
Investors exchanged 14.4 million shares of Hewlett-Packard, which was down $1.62, or 12.18%. Hewlett-Packard announced this morning that software company Autonomy, which Hewlett-Packard acquired last year, misrepresented its financial performance as the acquisition deal was taking place. Hewlett-Packard will take an $8.8 billion write-down.
Investors traded 2.21 million shares of SPDR S&P 500 ETF, which was down $0.24, or 0.17%.
Investors also traded 2 million shares of Prudential Financial, which was unchanged.
