Weatherford International and SPDR S&P 500 ETF Among Most Active Stocks in NYSE Pre-Market

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the NYSE were Weatherford International (NYSE:WFT), SPDR S&P 500 ETF (NYSEARCA:SPY), Michael Kors Holdings (NYSE:KORS) as of 9:25 a.m. EST.
Investors exchanged 3.38 million shares of Weatherford International, which was down $1.02, or 9.38%. According to Reuters, Weatherford reported a pre-tax profit $191 million for its third quarter compared to $270 million in the prior-year quarter. Revenue increased 13% to $3.82 billion, missing estimates of $3.9 billion.
Investors traded 2.15 million shares of SPDR S&P 500 ETF, which was down $0.65, or 0.47%.
Investors also traded 1.57 million shares of Michael Kors Holdings, which was up $0.36, or 0.71%. Michael Kors Holdings expects to earn between $0.37 and $0.39 per share; Wall Street expects the company to report a profit of $0.39 per share. The fashion company expects its sales to rise more than 20% during the holiday quarter.
