Sirius XM Radio and Apple Among Most Active Stocks in Nasdaq Pre-Market


Facebook was up this morning.

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (^IXIC) were Sirius XM Radio (SIRI), Apple (AAPL), and Facebook (FB) as of 8:55 a.m. Investors traded 754,887 shares of Sirius XM, which was unchanged. Liberty Media (LMCA) has converted 6,249,900 shares of its 12,500,000 preferred shares of Sirius XM into common shares at a conversion rate of 209.9581409 common shares for each preferred share. This adds 1,293,467,684 shares to Sirius XM's total share count and gives Liberty Media a 49.5% stake in Sirius XM.

Investors also traded 212,409 shares of Apple, which was up $0.32, or 0.05%. Apple has hovered around $700 per share in pre-market trading. Judge Lucy Koh has denied the motion to lift Apple's ban on Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the United States.

Investors exchanged
208,802 shares of Facebook, which was up $0.10, or 0.46%. Google (GOOG) has acquired Snapseed developer Nik Software to compete with Facebook's Instagram. Snapseed is a photo-editing app with 9 million users.
