Facebook and Complete Genomics Among Most Active Stocks in Nasdaq Pre-Market


Apple was up this morning.

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (^IXIC) were Facebook (FB), Complete Genomics (GNOM), and Apple (AAPL) as of 8:50 a.m. Investors traded 796,636 shares of Facebook, which was up $0.68, or 3.09%. Facebook's new ad-purchasing mechanism, Facebook Exchange, is out of beta. The exchange allows real-time bidding for advertisement space on Facebook.

Investors also traded
745,002 shares of Complete Genomics, which was up $0.40, or 14.98%. China's BGI-Shenzhen will buy Complete Genomics for $117.6 million, or $3.15 per share. This price is an 18% premium to Complete Genomics' close on Friday.

Investors exchanged
205,535 shares of Apple, which was up $5.72, or 0.83%. Apple announced that pre-orders for the iPhone 5 have topped two million, double the one million pre-orders for the iPhone 4S.
