SAP AG and SPDR S&P 500 ETF Most Active Stocks in Pre-Market Today on the NYSE

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the NYSE were SAP AG (SAP), SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY), and SUPERVALU (SVU) as of 9:00 a.m. Investors traded 4.6 million shares of SAP, which was up $2.43, or 4.28%. The German software giant pre-announced its second-quarter results, which beat analysts' expectations. Its revenue was 3.9 billion euros, up 18% from a year go when it was 3.3 billion euros. Analysts had expected 3.79 billion euros in revenue.

Investors traded 3.5 million shares of SPDR S&P 500 ETF, which was down $0.96, or 0.72%.

Also traded were
2.34 million shares of SUPERVALU, which was down $1.92, or 36.29%. The grocery store operator announced dismal quarterly results yesterday. Its profit was $41 million or $0.19 per share versus a profit of $74 million or $0.35 per share a year ago. Analysts had expected a profit of $0.38 per share. The company also stated that it will be cutting its dividend.
