PowerShares QQQ Trust and MAKO Surgical Corp. Among Most Active Stocks in Pre-Market Today on the Nasdaq


ASML Holding was up this morning.

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq were PowerShares QQQ Trust (QQQ), MAKO Surgical Corp. (MAKO), and ASML Holding (ASML) as of 9:00 a.m. Investors traded 1,757,902 shares of PowerShares QQQ Trust, which was up $0.33, or 0.52%.

Investors also traded 1,331,478 shares of MAKO Surgical Corp., which was down $9.56, or 38.85%. The manufacturer of robotic surgical devices announced yesterday that it sold nine robot surgery systems for the second quarter versus analysts expectations of eleven surgery systems. MAKO expects to sell between 42 and 48 systems for 2012, which falls short of analysts estimates of 52 to 58 surgery systems.

Also traded were
684,170 shares of ASML Holding, which was up $4.64, or 9.57%. Intel (INTC) entered into a strategic deal with ASML and will buy a 15% stake in the developer of semiconductor technologies.
