Nokia and SPDR S&P 500 ETF Most Active Stocks in Pre-Market Today on the NYSE


iShares FTSE China 25 Index Fund was down this morning.

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the NYSE were Nokia (NOK), SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY), and iShares FTSE China 25 Index Fund (FXI) as of 9:20 a.m. Investors traded 11.78 million shares of Nokia, which was down $0.26, or 9.32%. Nokia announced today that it would slash 10,000 jobs by 2013 and close three facilities in Canada, Finland, and Germany, citing competition with Apple (AAPL) and Samsung as the reason for the cuts. The company also warned that its second-quarter profit may be lower than expected.

Investors also traded
3.43 million shares of SPDR S&P 500 ETF, which was up $0.31, or 0.23%, and 1.86 million shares of iShares FTSE China 25 Index Fund, which was down $0.13, or 0.39%.
