Bank of America and SPDR S&P 500 ETF Active Stocks in Pre-Market Today on the NYSE

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the NYSE were Bank of America (BAC), SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY), and Telefonica (TEF) as of 9:10 a.m. Investors traded 2.93 million shares of Bank of America, which was down $0.03, or 0.38%. Bank of America's CEO Brian Moynihan has been ordered to testify by May 18 in the lawsuit bought by MBIA (MBI) against Countrywide Financial, which was acquired by Bank of America. If MBIA wins, Bank of America may have to settle for approximately $2 billion. Investors traded 1.88 million shares of SPDR S&P 500 ETF, which was down $0.67, or 0.49%, and 807.81 thousand shares of Telefonica, which was up $0.18, or 1.23%. Investors are ambivalent about Telefonica, the Spain-based telecommunications company, because of the bad economy in Spain.
