JPMorgan and Bank of America Among Most Active Stocks in Pre-Market Today on the NYSE

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the NYSE were JPMorgan (JPM), Bank of America (BAC), and Magnum Hunter Resources (MHR) as of 9:05 a.m. Investors traded 6.91 million shares of JPMorgan, which was down $3.51, or 8.62%. JPMorgan is down this morning after announcing last night that it lost $2 billion in a hedging strategy. The bank now projects an $800 million loss for the current quarter compared to the original projection of a $200 million profit. Investors traded 4.3 million shares of Bank of America, which was down $0.19, or 2.47%, and 2.93 million shares of Magnum Hunter Resources, which was down $0.21, or 4.37%. JPMorgan's loss dragged the entire financial sector down in pre-market trading, hurting shares of Bank of America.
