PowerShares QQQ Trust and BioMarin Pharmaceutical Among Most Active Stocks in Nasdaq Pre-Market

Apple was up this morning.
MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (INDEXNASDAQ:.IXIC) were PowerShares QQQ Trust (NASDAQ:QQQ), BioMarin Pharmaceutical (NASDAQ:BMRN), and Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) as of 8:45 a.m.
Investors exchanged 504,505 shares of BioMarin Pharmaceutical, which was up $10.49, or 28.04%. BioMarin's drug GLANS met its target for for its Phase 3 study. The drug is for a rare lysosomal storage disorder called Morquio A Syndrome.
Investors also traded 418,859 shares of Apple, which was up $6.75, or 1.17%. Apple sold 3 million iPad minis and iPad 4s during the three days of its launch weekend.
