JDA Software Group and Sirius XM Radio Among Most Active Stocks in Nasdaq Pre-Market

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (INDEXNASDAQ:.IXIC) were JDA Software Group (NASDAQ:JDAS), Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI), and Grifols (NASDAQ:GRFS) as of 9:00 a.m.

Investors exchanged 12,819,838 shares of JDA Software Group, which was up $6.63, or 17.38%. According to Bloomberg, RedPrairie, backed by private-equity firm New Mountain Capital, agreed to buy JDA Software Group for $1.9 billion, or $45 per share. This amount represents a 33% premium over JDA's stock price as of October 26. The deal merges the two providers of software for managing corporate supply chains.

Investors traded 3,167,239 shares of Sirius XM Radio, which was up $0.03, or 1.07%. Sirius XM reported its third quarter financial results. Net income was $74.5 million, or $0.01 per share, compared to $104.2 million, or $0.02 per share, in the prior year quarter. Revenue increased 14% to $867.4 million, slightly beating analysts' estimates of $866.1 million.

Investors also traded 391,972 shares of Grifols, which was up $0.09, or 0.36%. According to Reuters, Grifols expects to decrease its debt of 2.5 billion euros, or $3.2 billion, faster than expected, said the company's deputy finance director.
