PowerShares QQQ Trust and Yahoo Among Most Active Stocks in Pre-Market Today on the Nasdaq


Zynga was down this morning.

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq were PowerShares QQQ Trust (QQQ), Zynga (ZNGA), and Yahoo (YHOO) as of 8:50 a.m. Investors traded 3,614,268 shares of PowerShares QQQ, which was up $0.09, or 0.15%. Investors also traded 1,385,136 shares of Yahoo, which was up $0.75, or 4.86%, and 256,863 shares of Zynga, which was down $0.24, or 3.35%. Yahoo shares were up this morning on the news that Yahoo and (ALBCF.PK) reached a deal in which Alibaba will buy back half of Yahoo's stake in its company. Yahoo will receive $6.3 billion in cash and $800 million of new preferred stock in Alibaba. Zynga, the social gaming company, continued to mirror Facebook (FB), dragging down Zynga shares as Facebook's share price dropped below its IPO price.
