Research In Motion and PowerShares QQQ Trust Among Most Active Stocks in Nasdaq Pre-Market

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (INDEXNASDAQ:.IXIC) were Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM), PowerShares QQQ Trust (NASDAQ:QQQ), and Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) as of 9:00 a.m. EST.
Investors traded 3,688,898 shares of Research In Motion, which was down $1.86, or 13.17%. According to Bloomberg, Research In Motion's decision to eliminate or lessen service fees for subscribers who opt out of enhanced services has hurt the company's stock despite RIMM beating analysts' estimates for its third quarter.
Investors exchanged 1,890,144 shares of PowerShares QQQ Trust, which was down $0.9834, or 1.49%.
Investors also traded 653,055 shares of Sirius XM Radio, which was down $0.04, or 1.34%. A federal appeals court approved Sirius XM's settlement of a class action lawsuit brought by subscribers.
