Allscripts Healthcare Solutions and PowerShares QQQ Trust Among Most Active Stocks in Nasdaq Pre-Market

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (INDEXNASDAQ:.IXIC) were Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (NASDAQ:MDRX), PowerShares QQQ Trust (NASDAQ:QQQ), and VIVUS (NASDAQ:VVUS) as of 8:45 a.m. EST.

Investors traded 3,084,460 shares of Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, which was down $1.76, or 16.48%. According to Bloomberg, Allscripts Healthcare Solutions fired CEO Glen Tullman and replaced him with Paul Black, a current board member of Allscripts and former COO of Cerner Corporation (NASDAQ:CERN).

Investors exchanged 1,454,375 shares of PowerShares QQQ Trust, which was up $0.07, or 0.10%.

Investors also traded 1,001,045 shares of VIVUS, which was up $1.06, or 7.77%. VIVUS announced that Express Scripts has added Qsymia to its national pharmacy formulas. Qsymia is a weight loss drug for overweight and obese individuals.
