Facebook and Dell Among Most Active Stocks in Nasdaq Pre-Market

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (INDEXNASDAQ:.IXIC) were Facebook (NASDAQ:FB), Dell (NASDAQ:DELL), and Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) as of 8:55 a.m. EST.
Investors traded 1,380,584 shares of Facebook, which was up $0.23, or 0.82%. According to Marketwatch, Facebook is in talks to acquire WhatsApp, the cross-platform mobile-messaging application.
Investors exchanged 830,773 shares of Dell, which was up $0.59, or 6.12%. Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) increased its rating on Dell from "sell" to "buy" on the belief that investor sentiment towards the stock is too bearish.
Investors also traded 358,754 shares of Research In Motion, which was down $0.23, or 1.98%.
