MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL Dow (INDEXDJX:.DJI) components that were downgraded to sells yesterday include General Electric (NYSE:GE), which is now a Sell (2 Rating); Chevron (NYSE:CVX), which is now a Strong Sell (1 Rating); and Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT), which is now a Strong Sell (1 Rating). We also highlighted another Dow component earlier this morning: Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT) -- now a Strong Sell (1 Rating) -- was downgraded as well.

This is how these names are weighted in the index:

Chevron: 6.25%
Caterpillar: 4.95%
Wal-Mart: 4.36%
General Electric: 1.22%

At this juncture, we would wait for an approaching oversold level or a move back to a Buy rating before allocating new capital to these names.
