Shoppers may not be the only ones lined up outside Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT) stores on Black Friday.

It appears unlikely that federal officials will issue an injunction to stop the company’s workers from staging protests outside company stores over the Black Friday weekend. Wal-Mart filed an unfair labor practice complaint, while workers protest low wages and increased costs for health care coverage.

Can Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) get back on track? It’s trading at its lowest level in a decade after yesterday’s 12% tumble. That followed word that HP was taking a charge of nearly $9 billion due to what it called accounting "improprieties" related to its purchase of Autonomy earlier this year. Some analysts note that HP’s core business continues to contract.
