True Religion Apparel and PowerShares QQQ Trust Among Most Active Stocks in Nasdaq Pre-Market

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (INDEXNASDAQ:.IXIC) were True Religion Apparel (NASDAQ:TRLG), PowerShares QQQ Trust (NASDAQ:QQQ), and Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) as of 8:50 a.m.

Investors exchanged 1,202,672 shares of True Religion Apparel, which was up $4.95, or 23.56%. True Religion Apparel announced today that it formed a special committee of its board of directors to explore the possible sale of the company. The committee stated it will consider other strategic alternatives as well.

Investors traded 431,507 shares of PowerShares QQQ Trust, which was down $0.08, or 0.12%.

Investors also traded 242,587 shares of Facebook, which was down $0.26, or 1.27%. According to Bloomberg, Securities and Exchange Commission correspondence with Facebook executives reveal that the social media company was hesitant to release certain information about its business to investors before its IPO.
