  • Media, communications, and entertainment company Liberty Media (NASDAQ:LMCA) bought 896,845 shares of cable company Charter Communications (NASDAQ:CHTR) for $124,473,864.
  • Bill Gross, co-founder of Pimco, bought 100,000 shares of the non-diversified, closed-end management investment company Pimco Dynamic Credit Income Fund (NYSE:PCI) for $2,319,460. Gross also bought shares of Pimco Municipal Income Fund (NYSE:PMF), Pimco Dynamic Income Fund (NYSE:PDI), and Pimco CA Municipal Income Fund (NYSE:PCQ), all of which are non-diversified, closed-end management investment companies under the Pimco umbrella.
  • David Sokol, former CEO and President of NetJets and a beneficial owner of bank holding company Middleburg Financial (NASDAQ:MBRG), bought 89,115 shares of the latter company's stock for $1,556,618.

  • Bill Gates, Founder and former Chairman and CEO of Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT), sold 4,650,000 shares of company stock for $183,196,576.
