New Stock Coverage: Tremor Video Inc All Set to Shake Things Up

Wall Street ratings agencies set the tone for today's stock market.

Kate Middleton is finally in labor as equities continue delivering alpha (as it were) for investors. Dow Industrials (^DJI) reached historic peaks, paced by a 7% surge in Bank of America (BAC). The financial firm, based appropriately enough in North Carolina's largest city, began the week by sponsoring a film called Hush…Hush, Sweet Charlotte yet it ended up making money talk mighty loudly.

Among other stocks on the move, Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) advanced an S&P 500 (^GSPC)-best 8.55% to finish at a fresh 52-week peak on Friday, promptly causing the fast food firm to ponder the meaning of life in 160 characters. And the doyenne of the Washington press corps, who grew up in Detroit, died at 92. In 1960, when Helen Thomas got her big break at the dawn of JFK's administration, Motown had the highest per capita income in the entire country. She lived just long enough to see the city go bankrupt.

This morning in economics, June existing home sales are expected to tick up from the prior month's pace at 10:00 a.m. Eastern. Peak week for Q2 earnings reports is upon us, with today's quarterly announcements expected to include Crane Company (CR), Gannett (GCI), Halliburton (HAL), Hasbro (HAS), Kimberly-Clark (KMB), McDonald's (MCD), Netflix (NFLX), Royal Philips (PHG), Six Flags (SIX), Texas Instruments (TXN), UBS AG (UBS), and Zions Bancorporation (ZION).

Bruker Corporation (BRKR): Cowen covers the scientific instruments stock at Outperform.

Celestica (CLS): Shares are assigned a Market Perform by BMO Capital.

Eldorado Gold (EGO): EGO is established at Overweight by JPMorgan.

Esperion Therapeutics (ESPR): Credit Suisse covers the company at Outperform.

Luxoft Holding (LXFT): The stock is initiated with an Overweight at JPMorgan.

NanoString Technologies (NSTG): Morgan Stanley starts the stock at Overweight but Robert W. Baird (Neutral with an $11 price objective) is more cautious, as catalysts including Prosigna FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approval are still likely several months away.

Northstar Realty (NRF): Shares are begun with a Buy at UBS.

Sonoco Products (SON): The energy outfit is launched with a Buy at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch.

Teck Resources (TCK): Brean has a Hold on the industrial metals outfit.

Theravance (THRX): Morgan Stanley starts the stock at Underweight, sending it down about 5.2% as I write.

Tremor Video Inc (TRMR): Shares are begun with a Buy and $12 target at Jefferies, which says the recent online video advertising initial public offering can boast 372 brand clients. Cannacord Genuity also rates the stock a Buy.

Trimble Navigation (TRMB): The stock is picked up with a Buy at Craig-Hallum.
