New Stock Coverage: Stratasys Stock Going Through the Stratosphere

Wall Street ratings agencies set the tone for today's stock market.

Who would have thought those pesky PIIGS would prove less problematic than a solitary tapir? Still, when it was all over, equities had made a silk purse out of a sow's ear. The Dow (INDEXDJX:.DJI), despite a steep drop on Friday, ended up for a third straight week after the Fed unexpectedly opted to keep the easy money spigot open. Barrick Gold (NYSE:ABX), up 5%, was one big beneficiary as the "end of gold" proved to be utter bullion. Twenty-four-carat iPhones were just the ticket for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), whose line-loving iPhone fan boys really do need to get a life. (This as the company's chairman is asking us to live long and prosper.)

Elsewhere, Esther George was the Fed's sole voice of dissent, but if one was fun, two was better. Take-Two (NASDAQ:TTWO) advanced after launching its latest Grand Theft Auto and Kythera Biopharmaceuticals (KYTH) jumped 20.78% as its double chin drug met goals in a couple of late-stage clinical trials.

There isn't any top-tier economic data due today, but Red Hat (NYSE:RHT) is expected to announce its quarterly earnings.

Core Laboratories (NYSE:CLB): Morgan Stanley starts the stock at Overweight.

Corning (NYSE:GLW): Saying an inventory correction of glass substrate has now run its course, Gilford Securities gives GLW a Buy rating. Its price objective is $20.

Envision Healthcare (NYSE:EVHC): Shares are a Buy at Jefferies, whose target price is $34.

JinkoSolar (NYSE:JKS): Credit Suisse has a new Neutral on the alternative energy name.

Splunk Inc (NASDAQ:SPLK): The equity is a new Neutral at Goldman Sachs.

Stratasys, Ltd. (NASDAQ:SSYS): The 3D printing stock, which has surged some 70.01% in the past year, is picked up with a Buy at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch.

3D Systems Corporation (NYSE:DDD): Bank of America-Merrill Lynch launches the 3D printing company at a Buy.

Torchmark (NYSE:TMK): Deutsche Bank launches the life insurance outfit with a Buy. Its price objective is $80.
