New Stock Coverage: Halloween Almost Here, Potbelly Serves Some Wicked 'Wichcraft

Wall Street ratings agencies set the tone for today's stock market.

Unless you are Italian, these are indeed the days of wine and roses in equities. The S&P 500 Index (INDEXSP:.INX) hit yet another record, ably assisted by a 7.50% surge in 1-800-Flowers (NASDAQ:FLWS). Flowers Foods (NYSE:FLO), up 2.87% at a historic high, also merits a mention. The baker recently bought several Hostess assets, and - based on the 121 Twinkies Joey Chestnut just swallowed in six minutes - remains rolling in dough. A new study showed Monday may be your best day to stop smoking but someone forgot to tell tobacco titan Lorillard (NYSE:LO), which began the week by rising 1.92% to a record. Elsewhere, it was a stellar session for anything Zen, with calming Calgon (NYSE:CCC) and hippy Hain Celestial (NASDAQ:HAIN) each oddly increasing an identical 1.24%. Good to know, the next time some spiritual guru goes all greedy and decides to sue you for $5 million.
