Fate focuses on the discovery and development of pharmacologic modulators of adult stem cells to treat orphan diseases, such as hematologic malignancies, lysosomal storage disorders, and muscular dystrophies.
  • The private equity firm BVF Partners LP bought 109,425 shares of biopharmaceutical company ChemoCentryx (NASDAQ:CCXI) for $601,203. ChemoCentryx develops oral-administered therapeutics for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, inflammatory diseases, and cancer.
  • The Japanese trading company Marubeni (OTCMKTS:MARUF) bought 30,000 shares of global high-utility commercial-jet aircraft company Aircastle (NYSE:AYR) for $530,088.
  • Investment adviser Clinton Group bought 315,500 shares of bank holding company Community Financial Shares (OTCMKTS:CFIS) for $315,500.
