Notable Purchases:
  • Warren Buffett's holding company Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.B) bought 110,309 shares of dialysis services company DaVita HealthCare (NYSE:DVA) for $12,576,055. This is Berkshire's 10th purchase of DaVita stock since the beginning of 2013.
  • QVT Associates GP LLC bought 642,509 shares of biopharmaceutical company Achillion Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ACHN) for $4,036,300.
  • The Naples, Florida-based investment advisor RGM Capital bought 184,569 shares of scientific informatics software and services company Accelrys (NASDAQ:ACCL) for $1,594,270.
  • The independent investor Lloyd Miller III bought 72,780 shares of franchise restaurant chain Cosi (NASDAQ:COSI) for $154,214.

Notable Sales:

  • At professional social networking company LinkedIn (NYSE:LNKD), the Senior Vice President of Operations David Henke sold 17,708 shares for $3,363,240 while Senior Vice President of Products and User Experience Dipchand Nishar sold 11,458 shares for $2,176,501.
