  • Warren Buffett's holding company Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.B) bought 3,700,294 shares of dialysis services company DaVita HealthCare (NYSE:DVA) for $204,046,688. This is Berkshire's 11th purchase of DaVita stock since the beginning of 2013.
  • The investment advisor firm Dalal Street LLC bought 318,049 shares of zinc and nickel producer Horsehead Holding Corp. (NASDAQ:ZINC) company stock for $4,324,213.
  • James Goetz, a director at security and storage solutions company Barracuda Networks (NYSE:CUDA), bought 100,000 shares of company stock for $2,144,689.
  • Bennett Johnston, a former senator from Louisiana and an advisory director for mineral exploration company Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. (NYSE:FCX), bought 20,000 shares of company stock for $734,475.
