  • The biotech-focused long-short hedge fund Perceptive Advisors bought 850,000 shares of pain treatment-focused pharmaceutical company AcelRx Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ACRX) for $9,902,500.
  • Kathleen Mitic, a Director of global online commerce company eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY), bought 5,000 shares of company stock for $258,050.
Notable Sales:
  • Apollo Management Group, part of the private equity firm Apollo Global Management LLC (NYSE:APO), sold 25,125,070 shares of real estate and relocation services company Realogy (NYSE:RLGY) for $1,195,199,616.
  • Apollo Management Group also sold 15,803,456 shares of plastic consumer packaging provider Berry Plastics (NYSE:BERY) for $329,865,536.
