Retailer Earnings in Focus This Week: A Look at Home Depot, Wal-Mart, and More

Some names have had fantastic performance year-to-date and have been good places to hide out as investors looked to reduce exposure to global equities.

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL This week we have some big retailers on deck for earnings. Some of these names have had fantastic performance year-to-date. Many of these names have been good places to hide out as investors looked to reduce exposure to global equities.

Below we are going to look at Home Depot (HD), Wal-Mart (WMT), Dollar Tree (DLTR), Gap (GPS), and The TJX Companies (TJX). Even though we believe price leads fundamentals, there is no way to forecast future earnings movements, regardless of what investors think. The charts will only show all current public information that is being priced into the market. The obvious advantage of using our algorithm is potentially picking up signals created by the smart money heading into earnings.

For those of you who are new to our rating system: Strong Sell (1) Sell (2) Hold (3) Buy (4) Strong Buy (5). Remember past performance is not a guarantee of future results
