MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL Back on December 3, we alerted readers that Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) moved to a Buy from Hold. The stock is up about 4.5% since moving to a Buy. Our firm's proprietary algorithm does not look at volume, moving averages, and the many other typical technical analysis indicators. Instead, it is based on statistical price series and is purely quantitative. Historically, the algorithm has worked well with Google as you can see from the chart below, both with the Buy/Sell rating and counter trend. At this juncture, Google may seem like a good opportunity with any market pullback.
