MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (INDEXNASDAQ:.IXIC) were Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ:ORCL), VIVUS (NASDAQ:VVUS), and Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) as of 8:50 a.m. Investors traded 563,142 shares of Oracle, which was up $0.66, or 2.05%. Oracle reported earnings yesterday for the first quarter of its 2013 fiscal year. The software producer reported a profit of $2.03 billion, or $0.41 per share, up from $1.84 million, or $0.36 per share, in the prior-year quarter. Revenue fell 2.3% from the prior-year quarter to $8.18 billion. In constant currency terms, revenue rose 3%.

Investors also traded 563,115 shares of VIVUS, which was down $2.92, or 12.31%. VIVUS expects European regulators to recommend against approving the company's marketing application for its Qsiva obesity drug.

Investors exchanged 443,531 shares of Facebook, which was up $0.33, or 1.46%. Facebook will begin monetizing its Facebook Offers program by charging businesses for the use of it. Facebook Offers allows businesses to send promotional deals to their Facebook fans.
