Facebook and Dell Among Most Active Stocks in Pre-Market Today on the Nasdaq

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq were Facebook (FB), Dell (DELL), and Ariba (ARBA) as of 9:05 a.m. Investors traded 2,408,129 shares of Facebook, which was up $0.71, or 2.29%. Facebook shares rose in pre-market trading after falling 18.6% since Monday. Some investors believe that Facebook may have found a bottom. Investors also traded 2,015,493 shares of Dell, which was down $2.04, or 13.53%, and 1,419,620 shares of Ariba, which was down $0.17, or 0.38%. Shares of Dell plunged after it reported weak first-quarter results. Revenue fell 4% to $14.42 billion, and the company earned $0.43 per share when one-time charges were excluded. Analysts had expected an adjusted profit of $0.46 per share and revenue of $14.91 billion. The company's net income fell from $945 million, or $0.49 per share, during the same quarter last year to $635 million, or $0.36 per share.
