The Talbots and CE Franklin Among Most Active Stocks in Pre-Market Today on the NYSE


Leap Wireless was also active.

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the NYSE were The Talbots (TLB), CE Franklin (CFK), and Leap Wireless (LEAP).

The Talbots' share rose over 100% after Sycamore offered to buy the apparel retailer for $2.75 per share. The Talbots closed yesterday at $1.29 per share. Ahead of the bell today the stock is at $2.58, and 15.819 million shares were traded this morning.

Investors traded 10,617 shares of CE Franklin, which will be bought by National Oilwell Varco (NOV) for $12.75 per share. The news lifted CE Franklin 35.5% to $12.29 in pre-market trading.

A Leap Wireless unit will begin offering Apple's (AAPL) iPhone on June 22. Shares rose 6.59% to $6.15, and 38.257 shares were traded in the pre-market.
