MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq were Ciena Corp. (CIEN), America First Tax Exempt Investors (ATAX), and Vodafone (VOD).

Investors traded 880,384 shares of Ciena, lifting the stock 5.05% to $12.48 after the network equipment maker posted a narrower loss on improved revenue. 405,220 shares of America First Tax Exempt Investors were traded after the company announced the pricing of its underwritten public offering. Shares fell 1.19% to $5. Vodafone offered a new budget-friendly Android (GOOG) phone and investors traded 306,070 shares, lifting the stock 0.41% to $26.86.
