Informatica Corporation and NuVasive Among Most Active Stocks in Nasdaq Pre-Market

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (INDEXNASDAQ:.IXIC) were Informatica Corporation (NASDAQ:INFA), NuVasive (NASDAQ:NUVA), and PowerShares QQQ Trust (NASDAQ:QQQ) as of 8:50 a.m.

Investors traded 1,363,271 shares of Informatica Corporation, which was down $6.93, or 20.61%. According to Reuters, Informatica warned that its third-quarter adjusted earnings would be between $0.25 and $0.27 per share on revenue of between $189 million and $191 million. This projection falls below the estimate made by analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters, who expected earnings of $0.34 per share on $200.8 million in revenue. The data-intergration software maker cited the weakness in European markets for its lower estimates.

Investors also traded 838,082 shares of NuVasive, which was down $6.94, or 30.68%. NuVasive also cut its outlook for the third quarter, revising its expected revenue from $154 million to $147 million. The company cited "unusually high account churn" caused by tough competition.
