MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (INDEXNASDAQ:.IXIC) were Saretpa Therapeutics (NASDAQ:SRPT), PowerShares QQQ Trust (NASDAQ:QQQ), and Vodafone (NASDAQ:VOD) as of 8:45 a.m.
Investors traded 2,085,047 shares of Serepta Therapeutics, which was up $16.36, or 109.14%. According to Reuters, Serepta's experimental drug eteplirsen significantly improved walking ability in a mid-stage trialing involving patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Investors also traded 1,998,788 shares of PowerShares QQQ Trust, which was up $0.11, or 0.16%.
Investors exchanged 330,500 shares of Vodafone, which was up $0.15, or 0.53%. According to SeekingAlpha, the wireless communications industry is currently the top performing industry on both the three-month and year-to-date time frames.
