Ceradyne and iShares FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Global Real Estate ex-US Index Fund Among Most Active Stocks in Nasdaq Pre-Market

MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL The three most active funds and stocks in pre-market trading on the Nasdaq (INDEXNASDAQ:.IXIC) were Ceradyne (NASDAQ:CRDN), iShares FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Global Real Estate ex-US Index Fund (NASDAQ:IFGL), and Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) as of 8:50 a.m.

Investors traded 4,418,515 shares of Ceradyne, which was up $10.52, or 43.06%. According to Reuters, 3M plans to buy Ceradyne for $860 million, or $35 per share, which represents a premium of about 43% to Ceradyne's Friday close. 3M will launch a tender offer to buy all outstanding shares of Ceradyne within 10 business days. The board of Ceradyne unanimously recommends that shareholders should accept the offer.

Investors also traded 484,360 shares of iShares FTSE EPRA/NAREIT Global Real Estate ex-US Index Fund, which was down $0.01, or 0.02%.

Investors exchanged 450,956 shares of Facebook, which was up $0.40, or 1.85%. According to Reuters, Facebook says that it can now give brand marketers data on the actual in-store sales that its ad campaigns on Facebook have generated. Facebook is working with Datalogix to provide this data and says the data are more useful feedback than total clicks.
