MINYANVILLE ORIGINAL "And this is good old Boston, The home of the bean and the cod, Where the Lowells talk only to Cabots, And the Cabots talk only to God." As Mitt Romney conceded early this morning in Beantown, he could at least console himself in another stellar showing by Cabot Oil & Gas (COG). The only S&P 500 (^GSPC) stock to double in 2011, it rose another 1.56% to an all-time best yesterday. And running mate Paul Ryan, he of 7% body fat, will have enjoyed gym giant Nautilus (NLS) surging some 7.69%.

An electoral defeat attributed to a lack of "angry white guys" didn't dent Winnebago (WGO), home to the angriest man in the world. It advanced 10.62% to a fresh peak. The news wasn't all bad for the butting talking heads at Fox either. Corporate parent News Corp (NWSA) rose 1.51% during the regular session, and gained a further 2.97% after-hours.

Today in economics, analysts expect to see a contraction in September consumer credit at 3:00 p.m. Eastern. In earnings action, Activision Blizzard (ATVI), BNP Paribas (BNPQY), Burberry (BURBY), Carlsberg (CABGY), CBS Corp (CBS), ING Groep (ING), J.C. Penney (JCP), Kraft Foods (KRFT), Macy's (M), Telefónica (TEF), Time Warner (TWX), and Whole Foods Market (WFM) are all due to report results.

ArcelorMittal (MT): The steel stock is boosted to Buy from Neutral at both Bank of America-Merrill Lynch and Société Générale.

Centene (CNC): Shares are upgraded to Buy from Underperform at Bank of America-Merrill.

Coeur d'Alene Mines (CDE): CDE is taken to Outperform from Perform by BMO Capital Markets.

Cinemark Holdings (CNK): Janney Montgomery Scott moves the stock to Buy from Neutral.

Fossil (NASDAQ:FOSL) The recently slumping watchmaker is upgraded to Buy from Above Average at Caris.

Franco-Nevada (FNV): FNV is now Buy from Hold at TD Securities.

HCA Holdings (HCA): Shares are up nicely ahead of the opening bell after getting boosted to Buy from Hold at Goldman Sachs.

Hospital Stocks: Universal Health (UHS) and Vanguard Health (VHS) are both boosted to Buy from Neutral at UBS.

Host Hotels (HST): Shares are hoisted to Buy from Hold at Cantor Fitzgerald, whose target is $16. The valuation is seen as compelling after a recent pullback in the shares.

LivePerson (LPSN): The stock, also downgraded today, gets a Buy-from-Neutral lift at Janney based on record Q3 bookings.

Marathon Oil (NYSE:MRO) MRO is moved to Buy from Accumulate at Global Hunter

Molina Healthcare (MOH): Shares are now Neutral from Sell at Bank of America-Merrill.

News Corp (NYSE:NWSA): NWSA is now Buy from Hold at Credit Agricole.
