The Google Outage: A Message From the CEO
These things happen, but they still sting.
Editor's Note: Todd posts his vibes in real time each day on our Buzz & Banter.
One of our daily processes in Minyanville is to assimilate global markets and share those thoughts in real-time on the Buzz & Banter.
After I wrote my latest Buzz -- there's a lot going on -- I learned that Minyanville was having server issues.
Odd, I thought, because we switched from traditional servers to the Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) Cloud because traffic surges would overload capacity.
Even stranger, I thought some more, that we "upgraded" to the Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) Cloud to enhance our user experience.
Still, these things happen in a digital world; I used to freak out about it, but I've mellowed in my old age (or maybe it's the wife and kids).
As time passed, with Minyanville and the Buzz still down, I took to Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) to share some real-time random thoughts.
The good news -- for all of us, except perhaps Google engineers -- is that it's the weekend and time to unplug.
