Ask any consumer, stock picker, or analyst and they'll tell you the same thing: the hottest company on the planet is none other than Apple.

But in a lot of way, Apple's more than just a company. It's become a set of values, rituals, beliefs, and passions. You might even ask: has Apple become a religion? Short answer: well, sort of.

From creation myths to Satanic opponents, rituals and converts, the Apple narrative is at times eerily similar to religious ones. And as technology and religion continue to mingle with and struggle against each other, Apple has set itself apart as a company whose products are, quite literally, used religiously.

Minyanville sat down with a few experts in the fields of religion and media to get their take.
