Since the advent of the home video market, Disney has been squeezing the last breath of life from its film library without any regard for its original integrity. For every timeless classic, there's a straight-to-video abomination: Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride, Cinderella II: Dreams Come True, Cinderella III: A Twist in Time, etc. With constant dollar signs in their eyes, would the same company that erroneously declared 2D animation dead -- and laid off hundreds of artists -- truly care about the run of a richly written but financially struggling title?
