A Hong Kong couple who met at a local McDonald's--and proceeded to get married there--has inspired the burger giant to begin offering official wedding packages to people so inclined.

Alcohol will be forbidden to ensure the guests are on their best behavior, but when you've got a choice of Coke, Sprite, Root Beer, or two flavors of shakes, who needs booze?

McDonald’s Hong Kong will also be accepting bookings for engagement parties and wedding anniversary parties starting today.

And why not McDonald's? Think about it. The romance. The emotion. The special feeling any bride would naturally have, exchanging vows amidst fry baskets filled with hash browns and chutes packed to the gills with double cheeseburgers.

Besides, where else can a happy couple treat their guests to a wedding cake made from individually-wrapped hot apple pies?

In fact, McDonald's may be a bit late to the "wedding in an international chain store" phenomenon. Wal-Mart has hosted plenty of weddings, including Mark Champagne and Debra Bechtel's happy day (they met there), with the ceremony taking place between the men's socks and the Wrangler denim shorts.

The overflow crowd stretched all the way to the flowered ladies' pajamas and the Kathie Lee Gifford sportswear collection.

"I do...not believe what an amazingly low price they're running on full-size sheets! Continue on without me, honey--I'll see you at the reception."

Of course, what more appropriate place for these happy couples to spend Valentine's Day than...White Castle!

It's just so...so...beautiful. Somebody pass me a tissue.
