Recently, the news was filled with reports of German residents upset about their homes being included in Google Street View.

Google listened, and let those who wanted to opt-out, opt-out.

About 3% of the population responded that, no, they wanted no part of it. That's about 250,000 addresses.

And now, we have the first example of what, exactly, happens when you tell Google you don't want your house to be seen by strangers halfway across the world who happen to be killing time at work by looking at places they've never heard of before, like Oberstaufen, Germany:
