WANTED, NEW BERNANKE SIDEKICK
Bernanke's number two is retiring, giving President Obama greater power to influence the make-up of the new Federal Reserve Board, which now has 3 vacancies. Vice chairman Donald Kohn, 6, who was a mentor to Alan Greenspan, has been a key member of the Federal Reserve since started working there in 1970. From the WSJ: "We're in a new world," Mr. Kohn said in an interview. "We need to explain ourselves differently." He says the mission now is to provide more information about its activities without giving away so much that it undermines its mission to be a lender of last resort.
