From the "You Just Can't Make This Up" file, the WSJ's Deal Journal brings us the story of an entrepreneur with a business idea to sell men's underwear with "Too Big to Fail" emblazoned across the front. When he goes to open a checking account for said business at his local Citi branch, he gets turned away. “While we don’t comment on our customers, we typically decline accounts associated with content that the general public may potentially find inappropriate or offensive,” Citi said, without cracking a smile. A small regional bank down the street gladly took his business.
