THE ROBOTS
DailyFeed
A robotic snake developed by Carnegie Mellon can climb trees and, after its crude artificial intelligence, which cannot handle the full range of human emotions, learns of its own mortality, ultimately hunt down its creators and strangle them.

According to PhyOrg.com, the robot snake's movements are "biomimetic, mimicking movements of real snakes including side-winding, wiggling and rolling." The robot snake has been taught to wrap itself around a tree trunk (or a human head) and climb vertically up the tree (or squeeze like that replicant did to Eldon Tyrell in that movie Bladerunner).

Below is creepy video footage of robot snakes.
