New Hedge Fund Bets on Sports, Literally

Print comment Post Comments
A new hedge fund in London will begin betting on sports events like soccer, tennis, and horseracing, the Los Angeles Times reports. "Centaur claims to have a proprietary number-crunching system that can make sports bets with far better results than the casual bettor. In fact, the company plans to make money off fluctuations in odds and point spreads that are affected by amateur bets."

But it's only for big-time gamblers. The fund requires a minimum $135,000 investment and it will take a whopping 30% of your profits for its fees.
