Microsoft Is Now the Leader in Tech

Print comment Post Comments
It's a phrase that you never thought you'd hear in 2011: Microsoft is the leader in tech.

But it's true! In a manner of speaking.

For decades now, Microsoft has been accused of ripping off the well-established ideas of its competitors -- from the graphical interface of Windows 95 to the decidedly "Chrome feel" of Internet Explorer 9. In fact, Redmond is no stranger to "following the leader" when it comes to expanding the functionality of its products.

So when our top tech companies continue to implement the specialties of others into half-baked, half-hearted services of their own, in a sense, they've become exactly like Microsoft.

Sure, go ahead and scoff. But looking at a recent comic by the Joy of Tech, there's a definite logic to it.

As well as a laugh or two.
