Market Volatility Is Affecting Size and Price of IPOs

"Companies worldwide are being forced to slash the size and price of multimillion-dollar stock market debuts as volatility takes hold and investors threaten to shun high valuations," the Financial Times reports. "Barclays Capital estimates that US IPOs will triple to $50bn this year. David Wilkinson at Ernst & Young said the recent market falls meant companies could not expect to achieve aggressive valuations and “conditions could become more difficult for IPOs”."
